I Have Assurance of Salvation, Max Hale

I am a 56-year-old computer programmer with a wife and one son. I work for a helicopter transportation company in Lafayette, LA. I have been saved since I was very young, but for several years I had doubts about my salvation. Frequently, I rededicated my life to Christ in the Baptist church I was going to at that time; but the doubts still persisted.

When I was in college I saw a copy of The Stream magazine published by Living Stream Ministry. I went to a conference in Los Angeles with some others and heard Witness Lee share the riches of Christ. The Spirit really witnessed with my spirit that what he was speaking was God's desire today. So we began to meet as the local church in our city.

After we had been enjoying the riches of Christ in the local churches for about six months through reading and hearing the ministry of Watchman Nee and Witness Lee, one day I realized that I no longer had a problem with the assurance of my salvation. I had not doubted my salvation once during that whole six months because Christ had become so real and subjective to me.

Being released from this insecurity had enabled me to grow in Christ by daily feasting on Him as the Bread of Life with all the other members of the Body.
